A310 Feathered Dinosaurs 2
The first Archaeopteryx were
discovered in 1861. The fossils showed that they clearly had
wings and feathers. It was the earliest known bird. During
the late 1990s, other featured dinosaurs were discovered. By
2003, there were am amazing 17 known species. They became
the basis for our popular
Feathered Dinosaurs poster, which we published in 2004.
Feenixx has always maintained a continuous-revision policy. Long
before a poster is scheduled for reprinting, it is reviewed
to determine if it needs to be updated. If so, the updates
are made. That was not the case with Feathered Dinosaurs,
as three more species were discovered the next year, two
more the following year, and more after that. Each discovery
led to more knowledge about these fascinating critters. It
became increasingly obvious that to properly show so many
new species and present to much new information, an all-new
poster would be required.
Feathered Dinosaurs of 2005 showed 17 species. The all-new
Feathered Dinosaurs 2 shows 34 species, twice as
many. Our knowledge of these animals has expanded so greatly
that the species are now grouped into families, which are
introduced through fascinating and informative text. There
are even three new families. The poster contains insets on
feather evolution and the two bones found only in birds and
feathered dinosaurs. Every species has a caption citing its
common name, biological name and where and it lived. Of all
the posters we have created and published, this one was
truly the mind-blower, no other subject had ever expanded so
greatly in so short a time.
STATUS: We finished this poster this past year and plan to
publish it in 2015., But we will first do a comprehensive
review of the poster to see if it any updating will be
required. |
